A follow on TikTok is public and visible to the account you follow. A saved profile in GlimTok is neither. This guide explains the two places a saved profile can live, how a bookmark moves from your device to your account only when you say so, and what saving does and does not do.
Start on this device
After a lookup resolves a public profile, choose Save profile. Without signing in, GlimTok stores the bookmark in your browser, and the page labels it Saved on this device. You can keep three this way. The limit is small on purpose: local storage is easy to lose, and three is enough to try the workflow before deciding whether to sign in.
Local bookmarks live in this browser only. A private window, a different browser or a cleared site data setting will not have them. If your browser blocks storage entirely, GlimTok tells you so at the moment you try to save, and browsing continues to work.
Sign in when you want more
Google sign-in creates your GlimTok identity. It asks only for your basic profile and email, never for Gmail, contacts or files, and it has nothing to do with TikTok. Once signed in, new saves go to your account, where a Free plan holds twenty profiles in three groups and Pro holds far more.
Signing in does not touch your local bookmarks. They stay where they were until you decide otherwise.
Import only what you choose
When local bookmarks exist and you are signed in, the saved list offers Review import. It shows each local profile with a checkbox. Tick the ones you want in your account, confirm, and only those are imported. Untick anything you would rather not keep, which matters on a shared or borrowed computer.
Nothing is imported just because you signed in, and nothing is imported twice. If a profile already exists in your account, the import reports it as a duplicate and leaves the account copy alone.
Make the list useful
A saved profile carries a few private settings. A group, such as Recipes or Clients. A pin, which keeps it at the top. A note of up to 200 characters that only you can read. And a default tab, so a profile you follow for its reposts opens on Reposts. Archive a profile to keep it without seeing it every day; restore it any time.
Search, sort and group filters help when the list grows. Select several profiles to move them between groups or remove them together. Export saved list downloads your snapshots and notes as a JSON file, without making any request to the source.
Refresh on your terms
Opening your saved list reads stored snapshots. It does not check every account for changes, and it never runs on a schedule. When you want fresher counts, select up to ten profiles and choose Quote refresh. The quote shows the browse units it will use; confirm it and the refresh runs, updating each snapshot and reporting what changed. Your notes and settings are untouched.
This design keeps the saved list fast, keeps your allowance predictable, and keeps GlimTok from generating traffic you did not ask for.
What saving does not do
Saving is not a TikTok follow. The account is not notified, your TikTok following list, if you have one, does not change, and no follower count moves. Saving does not give you access to private content. Your saved list is private to your GlimTok account and is never shared or published.
Signing out removes access to your cloud list on that device and does not copy it into the browser's local storage. The next person to use the browser starts with an empty guest list. Different GlimTok users never see each other's saved profiles, notes or groups.
On a shared computer
If you use GlimTok on a shared or borrowed device, treat the guest list as temporary. It belongs to the browser, not to you. Before signing in, decide which local bookmarks should go to your account and untick the rest during import. When you finish, sign out. Your cloud list leaves with you, and the guest list stays behind for the next person to clear.
Private notes are stored only in your account, never in the browser, so a note you add while signed in cannot be read by the next guest. The same is true of groups, pins and default tabs.

How many profiles can I save?
Three as a guest, twenty with a free account and two hundred on Pro. Groups follow the same tiers: none, three and twenty.
Does refreshing a saved profile cost anything?
Each refreshed profile uses one browse unit. The quote shows the total before you confirm, and you can refresh up to ten at a time.
Can I export my saved list?
Yes. Export saved list downloads a JSON file of your snapshots and notes, including archived entries, without contacting the source.
Will TikTok see my saved list?
No. Saving is a private GlimTok bookmark. It performs no action on TikTok and is never published.
